Storbor — Acceptable Use & Prohibited Items Policy

This Policy is part of the Terms of Service and applies to all members. Violations may result in cancelled bookings, removed listings, withheld payouts, account suspension, and reporting to authorities.

1. Acceptable use

• Use Storbor only for the lawful storage of items you accurately declare.
• Custodians must list spaces they have the legal right to offer, describe them honestly, and keep access and security as advertised.
• Renters must store only the items and quantities declared, respect the space's rules, and access the space only during permitted times.
• Treat other members with respect. No harassment, discrimination, threats, or fraud.
• Do not circumvent Storbor (e.g., arranging payment off-platform to avoid fees), scrape the Services, or interfere with their operation or security.

2. Prohibited items — never store these

• Illegal goods of any kind, stolen property, or proceeds of crime.
• Weapons, ammunition, explosives, fireworks, and regulated firearms.
• Hazardous materials: flammable, combustible, corrosive, toxic, radioactive, or reactive substances; gasoline, propane, and other fuels beyond small legally permitted amounts; compressed gas cylinders.
• Drugs and controlled substances (other than lawfully possessed personal medication), and cannabis beyond legal personal limits where prohibited by the space.
• Living things: people, animals, pets, or plants.
• Perishable food or anything that rots, smells, or attracts pests.
• Biological, medical, or chemical waste, and human remains.
• Counterfeit goods or items that infringe intellectual-property rights.
• Cash, securities, jewellery, or irreplaceable valuables beyond any limits stated in the Storbor Guarantee Terms (store these at your own risk).
• Anything prohibited by law, by the space's stated rules, or by a building's or insurer's requirements.

3. Prohibited uses of a space

• No living, sleeping, or occupancy in a storage space.
• No running a business, manufacturing, or growing operations.
• No activities that create noise, odour, waste, fire, or safety hazards.
• No sub-letting or transferring a booking to a third party without Storbor's approval.

4. Reporting and a Custodian's right to refuse

If you believe an item or use violates this Policy, report it in-app ("Report a problem" on a booking) or email trust@storbor.com or safety@storbor.com. A Custodian may inspect what is being handed over and refuse to accept — or stop storing — any item that appears prohibited, undeclared, unsafe, or unlawful, and may report it to Storbor. We may inspect, remove, or refuse items and cooperate with law enforcement where appropriate, consistent with our Privacy Policy.

5. Consequences

Violations may lead to immediate cancellation, removal of content, loss of Protection Plan coverage, withheld or reversed payouts, account termination, liability for resulting damages, and referral to authorities.
