Storbor — Pickup & Return Service Terms
Storbor Inc. · Version 1.0 · Effective: June 12, 2026 · Last updated: 2026-06-12
Unlike the marketplace (where Storbor is only an intermediary), the Pickup & Return service is operated or arranged by Storbor in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). These Terms are part of the Terms of Service and apply when you request or use the service.
1. What the service is
At your request, Storbor (or a Storbor-approved carrier) will pick up your declared items from an address you provide and deliver them to the booked space, and/or return them to you, within our service area.
2. Quotes and pricing
- Phase 1 (current): the service is quote-based. You submit a request (service type, address, notes); Storbor responds with a price you may accept or decline. No trip occurs until you accept a quote.
- Phase 2 (planned): automated pricing based on distance, fuel cost, and an hourly rate. Any automated quote will be shown before you confirm.
- Quotes are valid for a stated period and may change if the actual items, access, or distance differ materially from your request.
3. Your responsibilities
- Accurately declare items, quantities, weight, and any special handling needs.
- Ensure items are properly packed and legal to transport (see Acceptable Use & Prohibited Items).
- Provide safe, lawful access at the pickup/drop-off points and accurate addresses.
- Be available (or authorize someone) at the scheduled time.
4. Items we will not transport
We will not transport prohibited or hazardous items, or items requiring special licences or handling we have not agreed to. We may refuse items that are unsafe, illegal, or materially different from your declaration.
5. Scheduling, delays, and cancellations
- We schedule trips by mutual agreement. We are not liable for delays caused by traffic, weather, access problems, or events beyond our reasonable control.
- A trip cancelled with short notice (less than the notice window stated when you book) may incur a fee.
6. Liability for items in transit
- While items are in Storbor's custody during a Pickup & Return trip, Storbor accepts limited liability for direct loss or damage caused by our negligence, up to CAD $ per trip (or the declared value, if lower), unless a higher limit is agreed in writing.
- We are not liable for damage caused by improper packing, pre-existing conditions, inherent fragility, undeclared items, or your acts/omissions.
- High-value or fragile items should be declared in advance; we may decline them or require special terms.
7. Insurance
Items in transit may be covered under the limited terms above and, where applicable, the Protection Plan. This is not a substitute for your own insurance.
8. Service area
Currently limited to the GTA. We may change the service area on notice.
9. Claims
Report loss or damage within the time stated in-app of delivery to claims@storbor.com with photos and details, ideally noting condition at pickup and delivery.
