Storbor — Trust & Safety Policy
Storbor Inc. · Version 1.0 · Effective: June 12, 2026 · Last updated: 2026-06-12
Storbor's value depends on members trusting one another. This Policy explains the safeguards we provide and the standards we expect. It is part of the Terms of Service.
1. Identity verification
All members complete identity verification before booking or hosting. A verified badge indicates we confirmed identity through our verification provider; it is not a guarantee of conduct or trustworthiness.
2. Standards of conduct
Members must:
- Be honest in listings, declarations, messages, and reviews.
- Treat others with respect; no harassment, hate, discrimination, threats, or violence. Storbor follows human-rights principles and prohibits discrimination on protected grounds.
- Honour confirmed bookings and the space's stated rules.
- Keep communication and payment on the platform.
Custodians uphold the Good Custodian Promise: every custodian is a caretaker of the items entrusted to them and takes all reasonable efforts to ensure their safety, security, and stability — including on blackout dates, when access pauses but the duty of care does not. Custodians greet Renters personally, allow them to inspect the space, help secure items within reason, share access details, communicate blackout dates and emergencies, and respect a Renter's choice not to store. See the Custodian Terms.
Renters are expected to report any less-than-perfect interaction promptly, and may decline to store and request a full refund on arrival if a space does not meet their needs.
3. Safety tools
- Documented drop-off and pick-up photos to record item condition.
- Two-way ratings and reviews after a booking.
- In-app messaging so there is a record of communications.
- Reporting of members, listings, or items that violate our policies.
- The optional Storbor Guarantee for eligible losses.
4. Reporting and enforcement
Report concerns in-app or to trust@storbor.com. We review reports and may warn, remove content, cancel bookings, withhold payouts, suspend or ban accounts, and contact authorities. We may act immediately where there is a risk to safety.
5. Personal safety guidance
- Meet in daylight where possible; bring someone if meeting at a private space.
- Inspect a space before storing valuable items.
- Use your own locking devices. If an item can't be locked, work with the custodian to secure it; box small, light items.
- Identify your items as yours and photograph them in storage.
- You can decline and request a full refund on arrival if a space doesn't meet your needs — call Storbor support, no pressure.
- Trust your instincts — if something feels unsafe, leave and report it.
- Keep records and photos of your items.
6. Prohibited and high-risk situations
Storbor prohibits the storage and uses listed in the Acceptable Use & Prohibited Items Policy. Suspected illegal activity may be reported to law enforcement, consistent with our Privacy Policy.
7. Emergencies
Storbor is not an emergency service. If you are in danger or witness a crime, call 911 or your local authorities first, then report to Storbor.
